pumping...getting better?

Thanks so much for all of your encouragement! You guys are truly the greatest!

Things are going better. No more tears when Bekah gets a bolus. =) Second set change on my own took about a half an hour. WOOT! Bekah's cousins have been here to distract her and all of the activity has kept her BG on the low end but numbers are looking good for the most part. We had a day at the coast, Yesterday. I will write about it when I get some sleep (the sleep part is a joke, go ahead and laugh with me). I have been enjoying time with my sister so maybe I will take some time out to write after she heads back home. I also have a big fat dreaded 504 to write and I have been avoiding my computer so I don't have to think about it. Time to go watch my eyelids for a bit (until the next BG check).

  1. LOL on the "sleep joke".

Enjoy the rest of your visit with your sister and I am soooo glad that the boluses are not as painful for Bekah (my earthworm disliking friend - smiles).

P.S. Back to your last post, I am so surprised about the Animas gal not being supportive. They are known for awesome customer service. Is there someone you can go to with the company to change who you are working with? Also, to let them know that they have an employee that isn't living up to the "Animas" name....sorry for the tangent.

  2. Sleep Sweet, my friend....I pray the pumping journey continues to look up!!!!

Lean on us for the 504 stuff. Those of us who have been there are willing to are not alone!

  3. YEAH!!! I am so relieved to hear that it is going better! So happy for Bekah! Like Wendy said- you are not alone in the 504 planning. We will all help. Glad you are getting some time with your sister.

  4. Glad to hear it's going better!

  5. I'm glad no more owies during a bolus. That was so sad! I'm SO happy you get to enjoy some time with your family, and get a bit of distraction. :)

  6. So glad God is faithfully taking care of you and Bekah. : )
